Here at TJM, our commitment to sustainability means we take extra steps in our sourcing and design processes, which can influence the cost of our floral arrangements. For example:

 • Higher Cost of Local and Sustainable Flowers: Locally sourced, eco-friendly blooms can be priced higher than imported varieties. This is because sustainable growing practices often require more labor and resources.

 • Labor-Intensive Design Techniques: The elimination of floral foam and other single-use materials means our designs may require more time and expertise to craft using sustainable methods.

 • Investment in Quality Materials: To ensure minimal environmental impact, we invest in reusable tools and materials, which contribute to our studio’s overhead costs.

While our pricing may sometimes differ from traditional florists, we believe that the value of sustainable practices extends beyond just the flowers themselves. Each arrangement represents a commitment to the environment and a step toward a more sustainable future for us all.

  • Weddings-TJ McGrath Design proudly works with seasonal, local & American grown blooms. I book a maximum of  6 bespoke events per year; Spring: April-early June and Autumn: September-late October. It is in these months that New Jersey's growing season is at is best, both in beauty and bounty. I value artistry over volume and design using sustainable methods, floral foam free. My ideal clients for weddings and events are those with similar values. To inquire, please have your event planner reach out with your event details, and vision board.
